DIY Flash Diffuser for NEX
I went online and google for some idea and tips and

whereby he post about how he DIY a NEX flash diffuser

so i went to buy materials which i need and start doing it
so i went to buy materials which i need and start doing it
(ring file with opaque cover S$2, and a shining silver color tape S$2)
didnt take photo of the process because never thought of posting it =\ sorry

First, i measure the dimension of the NEX flash device then i use unwanted paper
to try out the shape and size of the flash diffuser

Secondly, once i finalize the shape and dimension i trace it on the opaque file cover and cut it out

Thirdly, i will tape the inside area with the reflexing silver tape and leave only an area in the front
where the flash will come out from

Next, i will fold it up and form the final shape (use transparent tape to secure and hold it in shape)

Last but not least i use some black color paper to wrap up the side so that it looks presentable

it fit in nicely into the flash device, not loose and wont drop off easily
you can leave it there if you want as
the flash diffuser fit in like its part of the camera

with(top) and without(bottom) the flash diffuser

Hello geng. Nice DIY. I love the way it fits the whole camera nicely when folded down. Anyway, to compare it fairly, for the second photo with bare flash, you should set the shutter higher a bit, so that it will at least match the exposure on the first photo. In that way, you can see whether your diffuser brighten you subject nicely thus creating nice shadows or not if compared with bare flash. Hope this helps.
Do more test shots ya. I would love to see the results too. Cheers!
